In the last episode of the TV version sex and the City, Carries said, I am a girl looking for love, real love. It ends with : "Later that day I
got to thinking about RELATIONSHIPS. There are those that open you up
to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those
that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere
unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those
that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant
RELATIONSHIP of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can
find someone to love the you you LOVE, well, that's just fabulous." Some days earlier I watched the movie version of Sex and the City. It is so lovely to see our four big girls to come back, however, it is also some kind of disappointing. I can’t figure out why. The short movie brings me back to all the old staffs. I read the book of Sex and the City and also get the DVD of the TV series back. Then I find out why I felt a little of disappointing. They are much older. They never use ‘girls’ again, what takes places is women. But, it is such a story accompanied us to go through our time of girls. We learn from it how to dress up, to use perfume, to look good, to find the right bag as well as the right man, to keep real friends. I watched the season 7 again. In fact, I never really saw the end of the story before. The part that every found a happy ending. There is a saying that, there are some ones we think we never be apart, the list is as: Ross and Rachel, Carrie and Big, Tom and Jerry, 大雄和机器猫, and so on. I never think in this way before, yes, whenever they are in love or in fight, however they are together or apart, we always hold the belief that they will be together forever. How lucky they are to have the ‘Forever’ in our memories. In our own life, we may never have the chance to find someone who will be there with us forever. Anyway, I like those girls. Like Huan said, we have the feeling that they are real girls who search for men and love in New York. So it is natural for them to grow older, while we are growing up. Thanks all of you. Now I am a big girl my selves, I got my dear girls as soul mate, I have this big city Beijing to live in as the NY to you. Our stories will still go on. To be brave and always keep hope for a happy ending. |
